Menstruation directly affects 50% of any population, yet is hushed and shamed globally, leading to education, work, economic, health, and environmental consequences for both menstruators and the larger community.
Twende Initiative plans to use networks of women in (rural) communities to make reusable menstrual products available, affordable, and accessible to all menstruators, thus eliminating the waste from disposable pads and associated CO2 emissions.
