Programme Officer, Segal Family Foundation
Gidibo is a Program Officer based in Dar es Salaam, representing the Segal Family Foundation (SFF) in Tanzania. He leads due diligence on potential and current partners for SFF’s Tanzania and Kenya portfolios. He also weaves collaborative relations with bilateral donors and funders in Tanzania to help build the Segal brand as a grantee-centric funder establishing trust-based relationships.
Gidibo is experienced in international development with a focus on youth and employment creation. He previously launched a skills development program for university students that saw a sharp increase in employment rates. In the past, he organized large continental conferences and held capacity building consulting opportunities for international organizations focusing on youth employment and soft skills development. Gidibo is a U.S. State Department Sports Exchange Alumni, is a member of the Olympic Committee Athletes Commission in Tanzania and sits on several non-profit advisory boards. He is a founding member of Girls BALL TZ, a U.S. non-profit organization that support girls from under resourced communities in Tanzania gain access to elite basketball programs and scholarships.
Previously, Gidibo worked for the U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam in the Office of Public Affairs, supporting education initiatives and long-term exchange programs. Prior to that, he worked for GIZ, YCI, and private sector engagements across Tanzania. Gidibo holds a Bachelor of Information Technology and is pursuing a Master of Science in Projects Management.
